Travel pros are expecting a blow out sale on air travel beginning in the middle of June and covering travel between the end of August to just before Christmas.
Start looking now and you may be able to snag fares at half the rate they were a few weeks ago. Don’t just shop the fare aggregators like Kayak and Travelocity. Be sure and go directly to the airlines site – particularly Southwest and Frontier.
Check the Savings at Alternative Airports
If you don’t mind a little driving, be sure and check fares at other close by airports. It’s almost always cheaper to fly into and out of Chicago Midway rather than OHare. My wife recently traveled to Northwest Arkansas and found airfares to Tulsa to be less than half of those of the local regional airport. She was going to rent a car anyway and she found rates on rental cars to be significantly lower there as well.
Movie Savings
Save at the Cinema!
Going to the movies with the family can be a bargain too with many movie chains offering special savings. Cinemark, for example, offers ticket prices on family-friendly-fare as low as a dollar a ticket. You may be restricted to certain days and times but you can’t be the savings. Check out their deals at cinemark.com. Don’t forget to click over to Regal Theaters for special values on everything from popcorn to tickets.

Roses are in full bloom in June (a rhyming pun, no less!) and you may be able to find a deal on a dozen or more for that special someone.
Are You In Swimsuit Shape?
I dunno, do pears swim? With people moving their activities outside many gyms are offering promotions on personal training. So, if you’ve still got a bit too much of the muffin around the top of your jeans then you might want to take advantage of these deals to whittle the weight before hitting the pool of the beach.
